Criminal Defense Misdemeanors/Felonies

Desiree Berg has handled hundreds of misdemeanor and felony cases throughout the Chicago land area, first as an Assistant State’s Attorney and now as a Criminal Defense Attorney.

When you get arrested for a criminal offense, it is natural to have a million questions and even more concerns.

Many offenses, be they misdemeanor or felony offenses, may impose a period of incarceration but not all and certainly you are in a better position if you hire an attorney that knows the law, the process and procedures. In Illinois a misdemeanor offense can carry up to 364 days in jail and a fine of $2,500 whereas a Felony offense can carry as little as one year in the Illinois Department of Corrections up to the period of your natural life and a fine of $25,000, depending upon the charge
